As we move toward eating less and less animal proteins in our family, we find we cook a lot more rice because rice goes great with veggies and other vegetarian delectables. So one day we decided we would get a rice cooker to streamline things in the kitchen.
Researching around at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond, all the cookers had aluminum baskets (where you put the rice and water), which was completely unacceptable to us for reasons I won't list in this post.
Google and a couple of keywords brought up this cooker (below) which we have purchased and, I'm happy to report, works brilliantly in addition to being completely stainless steel. It's very simple to use and gets the job done. Because non-aluminum cookers were not available in "brick and mortar" stores, I thought I would post something on the health blog here.
Happy cooking!
