Technology and life intersect in no greater way than they do with books. The invention of the first Gutenberg printing press, for example, has often been referenced as the event which triggered the entire Renaissance.
So it's no wonder that "technology" would find another way benefit the distribution of books among people. Book Crossing is a way to share books with others in a upbeat and giving way. This site and www.freecycle.org are inspirational sites and as a result I'm going to start a new blog category called Giving.
It's high time we did more of that in our Western, materialistic culture.
(Thanks go to my brother Chris for sharing Book Crossing with me.)
